I have worked in nursing for 13 years. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Public Health Nursing from the University of Texas at Brownsville. I worked at Valley Baptist Medical Center on the Neuro-Medical Surgical floor, and then worked as a school nurse for Brownsville I.S.D. I started working in Pediatric Home Health about 8 years ago where I've worked as a Field Nurse, Q.A. Nurse, and Case Manager. I am currently a Pediatric Case Manager with All About Kids Home Health, and I don't see myself doing anything else. I find working in this field to be very rewarding and really enjoy being a part of this agency.

I started my nursing career as an LVN 22 years ago after graduating from the Valley Baptist Medical Center School of Vocational Nursing in 1989. My 1st job as a Pediatric nurse was 18 years ago at Valley Baptist Medical Center, Harlingen. In 1993 I went to work for MCH, a Pediatric Home Health agency as afield nurse. I went back to VBMC-H in 2003 to work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as a staff nurse. I completed the LVN-RN transition program atUTB/TSC in December 2007. After receiving my RN license in February 2008, I became a charge nurse in the Pedi ICU.

I have a wide range of experience caring for children. I have cared for children with severe infections/sepsis, respiratory failure, diabetes and various syndromes and chronic conditions. I have also cared for children that have suffered multiple traumatic injuries and severe Neurological injuries. I currently hold BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric AdvancedLife Support), and ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certifications.

My goal as Case Manager at All About Kids Home Health is to provide quality care to my patients and their families in a respectful and caring manner.

I graduated in December 2005 from The University of Texas Pan-American with a bachelor's of science in nursing degree. After graduation I worked for Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. I spent my two and a half years employed with Valley Baptist working on the pediatric intensive care unit.

While working on the picu I gained knowledge and experience with trachs, gtubes, vents, RSV, bronchiolitis and various pediatric diseases and illnesses. Certifications I obtained were PALS, PALS instructor, one year as PALS lead instructor, ENPC, and BLS

Eileen Castillo, RN
Case Manager

My name is Eileen Castillo. I graduated from the University of Texas at Brownsville/TSC in 2007 as an LVN. I completed the LVN-RN transition program at UTB/TSC in December 2008 where I was Class President of the Program. I have over 4 years of Pediatric nursing experience. After receiving my LVN license I started out working in a Nursing Home but had always wanted to working in Pediatrics. I started working with All About Kids as a Private Duty Nurse in 2007. As a field nurse I gained knowledge on a variety of diseases and I gained experience working with Trachs/Vents, Feeding Tubes. As an RN I continue to work PDN and have worked at other Home Health Agencies as a Case Manager and was able to enhance my skills in wound care and bronchiolitis protocols. I enjoy working with children and returned to All About Kids in 2010. All About Kids has always been home to me and I believe I work with an excellent team at this Agency.
